Two commercial real estate companies have joined forces to create one of the largest firms in Alabama.

Brookmont Realty Group has joined Graham & Company. It’s a union for two companies that have worked together on other projects, such as Brookmont’s Lakeshore Crossings Business Park development.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Matthew Graham, Graham & Co. vice president, said the combination meets a goal to enhance the company’s property management services and bolster its office development capabilities.

“Bringing Brookmont into the fold has been the most seamless way to accomplish those goals and strengthen our offerings to our clients,” Graham said. “Brookmont has an excellent reputation for high-touch property management, and their principals have extensive office leasing and development experience in some of the largest markets in the South.”

Graham & Co. currently leases and manages more than 10 million square feet of office, warehouse, industrial and retail space throughout Alabama and Florida, with offices in Birmingham, Huntsville and on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

The company has brokered more than 150 sales transactions over the last two years, and completed nearly 500 lease transactions, valued at approximately $275 million. It has developed more than 7 million square feet of commercial real estate since 2000.

Brookmont’s four principals, Charles Simpson, David Walker, Bo Grisham and Eddie Nobinger, share 152 years of collective commercial real estate experience in markets including Dallas, Atlanta and Birmingham. Brookmont is a full service CRE firm, with a particular focus on Class-A Office management, development, leasing and brokerage.

Charles Simpson, principal, Brookmont Realty, said the two companies share several core values.

“We have partnered on investments and brokered transactions together. We have complementary business processes and a great working relationship,” he said.

The two will oversee a portfolio that includes the First US Bank Headquarters and Veterans Affairs Medical Office Building and Parking Deck in Birmingham, the Mercedes Benz Global Service Parts Warehouse in Vance, property management and leasing of Synovus Center, and the development of the Concord Center on Third Avenue North.
