Charles Simpson

Charles began his career in 1982 in Dallas, Texas with M.E.P.C. American Properties focusing on Class A office leasing and development. He was then recruited to work for CARTER in Atlanta, Georgia where he worked on the development and leasing team of CARTER’S Class A office towers Campanile and Eleven Hundred Peachtree Street; two of the first office towers built in Midtown Atlanta. He later moved back to his home town of Birmingham and joined Sloss Development Group to work on the redevelopment of the former Southern Company HQ building on Shades Creek Parkway, now known as Synovus Center. Charles later teamed up with David Walker in founding Brookmont Realty Group, LLC in 1997. Brookmont merged with Graham & Company in January of 2020.

Charles has completed numerous real estate transactions and developments throughout his career representing landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers, and owners and investors of commercial real estate.

Education
Charles is a 1982 graduate of the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business and majored in Commercial Real Estate.

Designations, Affiliations & Awards

Community Involvement
Charles is a committed supporter of the Birmingham community. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Art Fund, Inc., Main Street Alabama Board, and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Birmingham Museum of Art. He has served on the Highlands School Board of Trustees and a former member of The Altamont School Alumni Board and the Operation New Birmingham Community Board and is an active member of Independent Presbyterian Church.
