A Birmingham auto supplier is expanding.
EBZ Systec Inc. has acquired a 68,000-square-foot facility at 22251 Diesel Drive in McCalla.
The financial details of the transaction were not released, but the property was listed at $999,000, according to a flier from Graham & Co.
Ogden Deaton of Graham & Co. brokered the sale on behalf of the Ravensburg, Germany-based company, according to a release from the commercial real estate firm this week.
Graham & Co.’s Jack Brown represented the seller, Black Warrior Holdings.
EBZ SysTec currently has a facility at 3011 Dublin Circle in Bessemer.
The release said EBZ Systec purchased the 7.6-acre lot to accommodate its continued growth with automotive manufacturers in the Southeast.
The company will invest in a renovation and new construction phase for the site within the next 12 months.
Abby Jackson, a spokesperson for EBZ Systec said the company currently employs 25 locally, but the expansion will call for around 100 new hires over the next five to seven years.
The site is located in unincorporated Tuscaloosa County along I-59/20 and contains two buildings.
