Grandview Medical Center has signed a large long-term lease for space in an office building on its U.S. 280 campus.Grandview Medical Center is taking 16,701 square feet on the sixth floor of the Grandview II Building at 3595 Grandview Pkwy. Dr. The new lease, which will begin in mid 2020, was signed for 10 years.The Class A suburban office space will be vacated by IberiaBank as the firm relocates its Birmingham operations to the office building at 2000 International Park Dr., which it purchased two years ago.Taylor Glaze, vice president at NAI Chase Commercial Birmingham, represented Grandview Medical Center. He said the lease fills a large block of office space that otherwise would have been vacant at the end of Iberia’s lease.Sam Carroll, office group senior vice president, and Matt Gilchrist, office group vice president, of Graham & Co. represented the landlord, Grandview Holdings LLC.According to commercial real estate data and analytics provider Reonomy, the landlord is registered to an address in Boca Raton, Florida, and includes Grandview Blinds LLC, Grandview House LLC and Matties Way LLC.The space will be used for a residency program and non-clinical and support services personnel currently located at Grandview Medical Center, freeing up space for clinical services within the hospital.A representative of the center said the new lease is a result, not only of the growth of Grandview Medical Center, but also the emergence of the area as a secondary business district of Birmingham.
