PELL CITY, Alabama — Trinity Design Group LLC, which provides reusable containers for parts at Honda’s Alabama factory, plans a new manufacturing facility in Pell City valued at nearly $1 million.

The company, which is moving from Bessemer, will employ 35 people initially at the new site, with plans to increase to more than 70.

The Pell City Industrial Board approved tax abatements related to the project that are worth $43,030 over the next 10 years. The St. Clair County Economic Development Council and the Birmingham Business Alliance also assisted with the project.

Founded in 2004, Trinity Design focuses on sustainable packaging.

“Part of the decision to locate in St. Clair County was due to its proximity to one of our larger customers, Honda Manufacturing of Alabama,” Fernando Valentin, President & CEO of Trinity Design, said in a prepared statement. “Pell City has been welcoming to us, and we look forward to the growth and opportunities here in the years to come.”

The new facility covers 32,000 square feet at 1107 Dowzer Ave. Graham & Co.’ Ogden Deaton brokered the purchase of the building.
